Course Description
“Special Travel is designed to introduce World Cultures to the students. The focus will be on cuisine and festivals as they are related. A cursory tour of five continental areas will show the students highlights from certain countries in each region. Emphasis will be placed on the bizarre as this will be more interesting for the students and encourage discussion.
Objectives
Students will gain an increase in knowledge about world cultures. They will learn something about global societies they did not know before. They will come away from the class in awe about how diverse the world can be yet how similar human interactions are across the globe.
